Personal profile

Research interests

I am a Postdoctoral researcher in Social Policy at the Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies at Åbo Akademi University. I defended my thesis on the topic of well-being in very old age in April 2021, in which I explored the conceptualization of well-being as well as age differences and changes over time. I have also worked in projects related to social inclusion in old age, informal caregiving, as well as well-being, activities, and loneliness among home care recipients. I am currently working with the CIVEX-project, which is about exclusion from civic engagement among older adults. I have also received funding from the Society of Swedish Literature in Finland for exploring the association between social inclusion and subjective well-being from a linguistic minority perspective.
