Hamed Ahmadinia is a doctoral candidate in Information Studies at Åbo Akademi University with a diverse academic background that spans Accounting to Information Studies. He applies his interdisciplinary knowledge to conduct innovative research that creates value for various stakeholders, including the public and individuals.

His current research interests lie in the intersection of beliefs, information seeking, and minorities. Specifically, he is investigating the factors that motivate diverse populations and beliefs to seek information, the barriers they face, and how they interpret and utilize the information obtained. His research places a particular emphasis on the cultural aspects of information seeking, beliefs, and information behavior, as well as information literacy, health communication, e-health, and minorities.

To advance his research agenda, Hamed is acquiring knowledge and expertise in big data analytics, which enables him to apply contemporary social science research principles and advanced analytical and computational tools to his work.
