Abstrakti

The article focuses on two ways to present the cultural heritage of noble families in Finland. One way is to show one´s manor houses to visiting groups, the other has been to show family collections at great exhibitions in the House of Nobility in Helsinki. The former way tends to dwell on the the history of the owners and the architecure of the manor, the latter to present items on everyday life and festive activities in the noble families. Thus also male and female focuses tend to come to the fore.
