Sammanfattning
The devitrification tendency during heat-treatment was measured for four bioactive glasses in the system Na2O-K2O-MgO-CaO-B2O3-P2O5-SiO2. The measurements where performed by high-temperature optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and differential thermal analysis. The combination of these methods proved to be a reliable way to define the devitrification temperatures and the composition of crystal phases formed. This information is vital in choosing glasses for implant production, especially in cases where thermal treatment is required.
