Sammanfattning

This article examines some key interrelations between age, different life stages, care and employment, drawing on two sets of interview data from the mental health sector and older jobseekers. We are especially interested in how people in different ages and life stages negotiate their relationship to work or finding employment in the context of their care responsibilities (or lack thereof). While the relation between care and work has been researched and discussed to a large extent in the context of families with small children, we examine this relation in different life stages and in terms of different kinds of care responsibilities.
