A review. The 17th Ash Deposition or Slagging and Fouling Conference, entitled Impacts of Fuel Quality on Power Prodn., was held in Snowbird, Utah, on Oct. 29 to Nov. 3, 2006. The conference was organized into the following sessions with >40 papers from recognized experts in the field of fuel quality: fundamental fuel quality studies, fuel quality anal. techniques and modeling, full-scale fuel quality experiences, fuel quality and corrosion, fuel quality in alternate firing systems, European experience with fuel quality issues, and pilot-scale experience with fuel quality concerns.
