Fira tillsammans!

The teacher's guide Celebrate together! is based on a pilot project of the same name at Blomängen's school in Helsinki. The purpose of the project was to demystify foreign cultures and religions, and to awaken a positive curiosity in the students. The material surrounding and the experiences from the pilot project have been compiled into a teacher's guide, which is helpful when the school plans corresponding parties or any other party that is interesting and appropriate. The guide begins with a chapter on the arrangement and common structure of the parties and the work around them. After that, six different parties are covered, how they can be planned and carried out, background material and a personal interview. The book is illustrated with photos and drawings, which can also be used during the preparations with the students. Another purpose of the parties is to open the school's doors both to the homes and to various groups in the school's immediate surroundings.
