Biografi
Nia Sullivan (she/her) is a Doctoral Researcher at Åbo Akademi in the Faculty of Arts, Psychology, and Theology. Nia's research centers on race, social class, and collective care as a form of embodied and affective agency. She is also a researcher in the MadEnCounters Project, which centers the counter-stories of mental distress through a theoretical framework that combines psycho-politics and Mad Studies with critical race, whiteness, and disability studies.
Nia Sullivan from Åbo Akademi’s Master’s Degree Programme in Social Exclusion was chosen to receive the 2023 Annual Master’s Thesis Award awarded by The Association for Gender Studies in Finland (SUNS).
