I am a university lecturer at the Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies, Åbo Akademi University, Finland, with a PhD from the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Helsinki. Over the past decade, my research has primarily focused on interculturality in education, teacher education, and professional development. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the challenges and opportunities that educators face in diverse and evolving educational contexts. More recently, my research has expanded to explore the integration of AI into teacher education. This interest stems from my hands-on experience as a teacher educator, where I have witnessed the transformative potential of emerging technologies, alongside the significant gaps in understanding their practical applications and ethical implications. I am particularly interested in examining the perceptions, experiences, and challenges involved in integrating AI into teacher education and welcome opportunities for collaboration in this area.
