Forskningsintressen
I am an Associate Professor (tenure-track) in Minority Research at the Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies. My primary research interest is in multicultural teacher education and culturally and linguistically responsive teaching. I have related interest in diversity, equity and inclusion. I am Principal Investigator in the REDIT project (https://www.abo.fi/en/project/93806/) and leader (lead partner) of two ERASMUS Projects; Inclusion Through Mediation (Grant number: 2020-1-FI01-KA203-066490, website: https://www.includemeproject.eu/) and Designing and supporting inclusive practices in Higher Education (Grant number: 2020-1-FI01-KA203-066572, website: https://inclusivehe.eu/en/). In addition to this, I am a partner in the Erasmus+ project SHIFT (https://www.abo.fi/en/project/61677/). I bring a strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative approaches to educational research and has a multidisciplinary research background. I have researched and published in the areas of multicultural and multilingual education, adolescents' socio-emotional well-being and children's' social interaction in the classroom.
