Beskrivning
The book of nature is one of the most popular metaphors in the history of theology. It is not, however, widely known that one of its leading developers in contemporary theology was Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. This paper surveys a range of ways in which Ratzinger/Benedict employed the metaphor, including science, morals, and the liturgy. It argues that Ratzinger/Benedict had a consistent vision of the foundations of the metaphor, namely the patristic and medieval idea of the creative and redemptive Word.Period | 5 juni 2022 |
