Beskrivning
A dominant western way of studying and representing our human relationship to nature is found in the framework of nature’s contribution to people (NCP), often called ecosystem services. This framework is at the core of global bodies such as the Intergovernmental Panel of Biodiveristy and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). Within this concept, sense of place is a key concept to assess cultural ecosystem services. Despite recognition of the inherently interdisciplinary nature of the topic and need to incorporate more humanistic methods, limited attempts to incorporate for example narrative sources into ecosystem service have been made. Thus, here we present a means to study and some insights representing “humannatures” and human nature entanglements from life at second homes in Finnish coastal areas through a methodology based in thematic narrative analysis. Based on the fieldwork material, we will present second home soundscapes as an experimental way to re-present sense of place and NCP: s at coastal second homes.Tilläggsbeskrivning
