NoFa9 – The 9th Nordic Conference on Subject Education

The themes of NOFA9 relate to education as processes of change on classroom, school and national levels. Processes on classroom level invite students to know more and better through education. The concept of knowledge and what it implies is actively debated, particularly in terms of how knowledge is related to both school subjects and to generic competences. How do we talk about knowledge and what concepts are used? What knowledge and skills will the students need to be prepared for future challenges in a global world? In what ways can schools and classrooms be(come) sites for processes of Bildung and how can such processes be realized through different school subjects or interdisciplinary approaches?
