Tubulin polymerization is an essential phenomenon for the cell division process (mitosis). In cancer disease, there is a rapid or uncontrolled multiplication of cells, and this can be prevented by inhibition of microtubule formation that is inhibition of tubulin polymerization. In this chapter, microtubules, structure, and function along with the mechanism and domains of microtubules are discussed. In addition, based on domains or sites, various inhibitors of polymerization are also being discussed.
