The project would appeal to the following subject areas: • Within general linguistics: aspects revolving around changes and new developments in English lexis; • Interfaces with general linguistics: variationist sociolinguistics (incl. dialectology); • Corpus linguistics: using existing/established databases as well as drawing from other modern data providing platforms.
