Abstract
The aim of this article is to show that the Hebrew text of Hab 3:2 has been revocalized by Masoretes (transmitters of the Hebrew text) in order to avoid an idea which was regarded as dangerous for monotheistic view. The reception history of the passage has been important in an early Christianity and it is possible that this reworking is related to the Christian attempts to see Holy Triad in Hab 3:2. In the religious historical treatment the passage is related to the architectural context of the Temple where two great Cherubs manifested the throne of Yahweh in the Holy of Holies.
