Abstract

This case study explores the entrepreneurial journey of Sophie Thompson, co-founder of VirtualSpeech, a company that utilizes virtual reality (VR) technology to enhance soft skills development through immersive learning experiences. Drawing from her struggles with social anxiety and public speaking, Sophie and her co-founder, Dom Barnard, recognized a market need for innovative solutions to help individuals improve their soft skills. The company employs a subscription-based business model centered on customer needs. Students will analyze Sophie Thompson’s entrepreneurial insights, investigate sustainable growth strategies, evaluate data protection measures, address skepticism regarding VR training, and propose additional marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and expand the customer base.
