Abstract

Cascade synthesis of R-1-phenylethyl acetate including hydrogenation of acetophenone over a Pd supported catalyst, and the acylation of the (R,S)-1-phenylethanol formed over an immobilized lipase was demonstrated. Ethyl acetate was used as an acyl donor.
