Abstract
This panel would like to invite research articles focusing on how machine learning technologies and satellite data shape decision making in public sector organizations. Satellite data coupled with machine learning technologies provide timely and accurate data for organizations, such as, defense forces, environmental agencies, road and port authorities,… that they can use to monitor the evolution of on-site events and take incumbent measures. Little research has so far been conducted, however, to investigate factors that improve or hinder the accessibility, usefulness and usage of satellite data and machine learning technologies in decision making of public authorities at micro and macro levels.
We encourage multi-disciplinary scholars to submit their on-going works for further discussion, improvement and dissemination.
