Abstract

This study aimed to find the advanced extraction procedure for fucoidan isolation from the brown seaweed (Laminaria digitata) biomass. The closed-vessel microwave-assisted extraction system was optimized according to the maximal fucoidan yield by varying the extraction time, extraction temperature, and liquid-to-solid ratio using the Box-Behnken design.
