Abstract
This exhibition examines the intersections of patriarchal values, masculinity, and cultures of war, highlighting how hierarchical gender norms shape conflict, violence, and social organization. Originally presented at Aboagora 2024, it returned in 2025 at Kasvisravintola Keidas and digitally, emphasizing the ongoing relevance of these themes amid contemporary global conflicts. Through visual and didactic storytelling, the project contrasts patriarchal societies with non-patriarchal examples, such as the Mosuo, to explore the structural roots of violence, gendered oppression, and health disparities, while inviting audiences to critically engage with the links between gender, power, and societal harm.
