Abstract
Colloidal systems consist of materials in which one phase is finely dispersed into another. It is shown that the recovery of minerals by flotation is dictated by the same parameters and phenomena as are, for example, the production of latex for paints and adhesives and the production of butter and margarine. The principles of colloid chemistry are outlined.
