Abstract
This article examines Turkey's diplomatic strategy under President Erdogan, which involves offering extravagant gifts, such as VIP planes and mosque constructions, to Balkan leaders in an attempt to influence their foreign policy. However, these efforts have largely failed, as countries like Kosovo and Albania continue to prioritize their ties with the European Union and democratic values, often going against Turkey's interests. The article highlights the limitations of Erdogan's "soft power" in shaping the region’s political landscape.
