Abstract

In the contemporary business landscape, the exponential growth of data makes it necessary for businesses to utilize advanced data processing and analysis tools to derive insightful information. Business Intelligence (BI) tools streamline reporting processes and improve the strategic decision-making capabilities of organizations. This paper aims to explore the role of BI tools, in enhancing sustainability reporting practices. The research adopts an experimental evaluation using the CRISP-DM framework to assess the fit of different tools for different sustainability reporting preferences and goals. The findings provide a comparative analysis of Tableau and Power BI based on a carefully selected set of criteria, including functionality, usability, efficiency, and ease of use. The study concludes with practical recommendations for leveraging these tools to generate effective sustainability reports.
