Abstract

Given the acceleration of climate change and the role of
cities in mitigating it, there is a growing need for sustainable
housing. The councillors interviewed in the study see a link
between housing and climate change particularly in the areas
of construction, urban densification and energy policy. The
main barriers to integrating policy sectors are the disconnect
between them and the lack of sufficient knowledge and
financial resources.
