Abstract
In the journal Nya Väktaren (“The New Watchman”) AxelB. Svensson (1879–1967) watched the development of Swedish Christianity for more than half a century. In this article, Svensson's apologetic activity in Nya Väktaren in 1918 is examined. Defense of theChristian belief to Bible criticism was Svensson's main apologetictheme, but attention was also paid to the situation in Christian communities and to the Swedish society's secularization1.
