Abstract

We report the measurements of Be-7 activity in nine vegetable species through the detection of its 477.6 keV gamma-ray of Li-7. The plants were grown 10 km south of the city of Turku in south-west Finland, located at approximately about 23E, 62N. The results show that nettle, salad and cucumber have activities that exceed the detection limit.
