Personal profile

Research interests

I teach courses in Biblical studies and in Jewish Studies. My field of specialization is Jewish Studies in the broadest sense, yet with an emphasis on the early Judaism. My latest scholarly contribution in that field is the article "Early Judaism's Outreach to Gentiles, and the Case of Abraham" (in print). Also more modern perspectives in Jewish Studies and the history of Finnish Oriental Studies in Palestine are within the scope of my interests. History of the interfaith relations and the present day dialogue between the Abrahamic faiths has also played an important role in my academic profile.
