Biography

-Researcher in the project TRiNC: Truth & Reconciliation in the Nordic Countries.

-Docent in Nordic studies at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Helsinki, Finland.

-I teach and supervise BA and MA students (History), amounting to 25% of my working time.

-2024-2028, project leader and principal investigator (PI) of the project MaMeFo: The Manifold Meanings of Forests in Comprehensive Education in the Nordics 1972–2023, funded by the Kone Foundation.

-member of the Young Academy of Finland.

-Prior to my current project, I worked as a postdoc at the Division of History of Science, Technology and Environment at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden (funded through the Swedish Research Council’s International Postdoc Grant, 2019-2022). I have also worked as a visiting scholar at Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge, UK (April-June 2019, funded through the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences postdoc grant), and as a part-time university lecturer (fixed term) at Stockholm University 2018-2019.

-I am mainly interested in environmental history, history of education, and Arctic and Sámi history.
