Navneet Kumar

Navneet Kumar – Doctoral Researcher, Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland

I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Doctoral Programme in Social Science, majoring in Sociology, at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland. 

I hold a Master’s degree in Business Analytics from Dublin Business School (2023), where I developed advanced skills in data analysis and quantitative methods. Additionally, I completed a Post Graduate Programme in Marketing from Indira College, Pune, in 2009, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Patna University in 2007.

My academic interests lie in labor studies, sociological theory, and research methodology—areas I continue to explore through doctoral research and supplementary coursework. I bring over a decade of professional experience in the information technology sector, along with significant roles in security, customer service, and event management. I also have experience teaching Mathematics and Science at the secondary school level, which has strengthened my communication and mentoring abilities.

My research is conducted under the supervision of faculty within the Faculty of Social Sciences at Åbo Akademi University. Currently, I am also learning Swedish to support my fieldwork in the Nordic region. I am passionate about examining how institutional structures and societal frameworks influence labor policies, employment relations, and broader patterns of economic development across Europe.

My long-term goal is to contribute to evidence-based labor policy reform and promote interdisciplinary research on labor markets and social systems across the European Union.
