Research interests

I am interested in the relationship between semantics and grammatical variation in the world’s languages. I have conducted typological studies of complement clauses as well as language-specific grammatical studies of Danish and the Bantu language Ruuli spoken in Uganda. Currently my research interests also include second language acquisition and learning (primarily of Nordic languages).

I am an editor of Acta Linguistic Hafniensia: International Journal of Linguistics and a member of The Linguistic Circle of Copenhagen and The Linguistic Association of Finland.

Biography

Marie-Louise Lind Sørensen

I have worked  as a University Teacher of Danish at Åbo Akademi since January 2019 and as University Lecturer since August 2022. I have a bachelor's degree in Japan Studies (2011), a master's degree in Linguistics (2013) and a Ph.D. degree in linguistics (2019) from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
