Personal profile

Research interests

As a doctoral candidate in Theology/exegetics and Jewish Studies I will research antisemitism through the lens of performativity and performance.

My research project's working title is: "Performing antisemitism: The affective power of performative display of discrimination, prejudice, and conspiracy in Europe."

The proposed research seeks to establish how antisemitic ressentiments are performed and how they can result in violations and crimes against Jewish populations and Jewish institutions through affective transmission. The affective power and dynamics of performativity in the situational experience of community plays an important role.

I hold a Bachelor in Jewish Studies, Theatre Studies from the Free University in Berlin as well as a Master in Performance Art from the University of Arts in Bern, Switzerland.

I worked, next to my studies, as an Assistant at the University of Arts in Bern, Switzerland in the transdisciplinary Y-Institute.
