Heidi Höglund, Ed.D., is University Lecturer in Swedish (L1) and literature education. Her research interests include literature in education with, at the moment, a focus on students' interpretive (arts-based) responses, poetry pedagogy as well as complex picturebooks in literary education. In her doctoral dissertation Video Poetry: Negotiating Literary Interpretations (2017), she explored students' multimodal designing in response to poetry and in 2018 she received the research award Harry Elvings legat for the dissertation. Her postdoctoral research has focused on the views and descriptions of contemporary literary education within the project Perspectives on Contemporary Literary Education (2018–2020). She is currently conducting research within the research projects Poetry! Performative Perspectives on Poetry Education (2020–2024) and Complex Picturebooks in Secondary Literary Education (2020–2024), acting as Principal Investigator for both projects. She is a member of the organizing team for Nordic Research Network on Literature Education and coordinator for the international Special Interest Group Research on Literature Education.
