Doctoral thesis: What We Talk About when We Talk About Love, 2008

Biography

I defended my doctoral thesis What We Talk About when We Talk About Love in philosophy at Åbo Akademi University in 2008, opponent Alice Crary. In it I discussed how different ways of talking about love can throw light on philosophical discussions regaring emotions, identity, morality and meaning. After the defense I have worked partly as a researcher and partly as a teacher in philosophy, and to some extent in University pedagogy, at Åbo  Akademi University.

Teaching

During the academic year 2021-22 I am mainly teaching within the new minor subject on Ethics in a globalized world. The subject offers two courses in English: "Truth, Power and Justice" and "Ethical and Globally Sustainable Leadership". The courses are also directed at the students in the Master's program om Social exclusion, for whom I am also responsible for the course "Social exclusion in a philosophical perspective" and the specialization course "Philosophical aspects on social exclusion". All of my courses can be taken as specializations in philosophy.

I serve as supervisor for one Master's thesis in philosophy, one Master's thesis in social exclusion, and the PhD theses of Salla Aldrin Salskov, Evelina Salo och Christoffer Steffansson.
