This seminar presentation discusses the potential of rethinking Bildung through sociomaterial theories in higher education. Building on Hilli (2025) and ongoing research in the project co-write, the presentation suggests that sociomaterial actors are shaping and are shaped by students' study practices, sometimes creating hesitations and speculations, rather than lively interplays of Bildung.
