The event focused on the links between the rule of law and fundamental and human rights, current observations on the rule of law, and the role of Finland's national human rights institutions (Human Rights Center, Human Rights Delegation, Parliamentary Ombudsman) in promoting and safeguarding fundamental and human rights and the rule of law. The book “The Anatomy of the Rule of Law in the EU”, published in 2023 and edited by Allan Rosas, Juha Raitio and Pekka Pohjankoski, provided a basis for the discussion.
