Abstrakt

Gas dissolved in ordinary tap water is released and forms bubbles when
poured into a vessel. The sub-millimeter bubbles move towards the surface
with a terminal velocity of only few millimeters per second. The terminal
velocity can be used for estimating the average size of the bubbles. The result
is confirmed by observing the bubbles visually in a microscope.
