This study explores aspects of Teacher Professional Development (TPD), specifically the influence of educational change and collaboration in natural science teaching practice. The main research question to be addressed is: How can longitudinal collaborative inquiry between teachers influence their continuous professional development? This thesis is based on findings from a three-year longitudinal school-based intervention study of TPD in a Cultural Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) perspective. Studying inquiries into TPD gives me as a researcher the opportunity to see the developmental process through questioning how to support teachers in inquiring into how they could support their students in learning through inquiry
